Tripura demands 800cr more in pre-budget meeting with Nirmala

Agartala: Tripura deputy chief minister Jishnu Dev Varma, who holds the finance portfolio, demanded a special financial package of Rs 800 crore, including Rs 500 crore exclusively for the Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (ADC), in a pre-budget meeting with finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman in New Delhi on Friday.Dev Verma said he has also asked for funds for the Agartala Government Medical College to have premier healthcare facilities like AIIMS for the benefit of people in the region.
