4-year-old boy dies in Tripura road accident

Agartala: In a heart-wrenching incident, a four-year-old boy, Dipta Biswas, a KG-I student, died in an accident on Wednesday at Jharjhari in Belonia of South Tripura.
Police sources said Dipta was returning home with his mother after attending classes at the Belonia Govt English Medium Higher Secondary School. While crossing the road, a speeding car suddenly hit and ran over Dipta. Despite being rushed to Belonia Hospital by his mother and bystanders, the doctor on duty declared him ‘brought dead’.
The tragic death of Dipta has cast a profound shadow of grief and mourning over the town. The officer in charge of Belonia police station, Shibu De, visited the scene and has launched an investigation into the accident.
