'Democracy became dysfunctional under Modi’s rule': Priyanka Gandhi in Tripura
AGARTALA: The general secretary of All India Congress Committee (AICC) Priyanka Gandhi Vadra on Tuesday in brief visit to Agartala apprehended that the country is not secure under Prime Minister Narendra Modi, as she alleged that he sold out the national properties in 10 years and economy of India has reached a critical stage.
In a seven minutes speech from the road show in Surya Chowmuhani area of the city, Priyanka sought votes for INDI Alliance candidates of both the parliamentary constituencies of Tripura to ensure defeat of BJP –led NDA government for the interest of the country and said the country is not safe in the hand of the present dispensation.
“None of the poll promises Modi made to the citizens of the country was not fulfilled except for their political agenda. Unemployment increased by a record proportion, price of the essential commodities reached beyond bearable limit, democracy became dysfunctional and the constitution became inoperative in India under Modi’s rule; the people want to come out from the rude clutches,” Priyanka stated.
She termed the central government as ‘Jumla’ and alleged that unity and integrity of the nation has been brought under question by Narendra Modi by his activities. Basic principles of the Indian constitution have been threatened, personal liberty and thought was choked, the poor people of the country are getting poorer day by day and the government has been providing all support to the rich and corporate, she pointed out.
After attending two election rallies in Jorhat and Dibrugarh of Assam, Priyanka arrived at Agartala in the afternoon. She had an organizational meeting with the Congress leaders of Tripura in the airport and then joined the road show from Circuit House area on VIP Road along with the INDIA Bloc candidate of Congress in West Tripura Ashish Kumar Saha and Ratan Das of CPM in Ramnagar by-poll.
A well-decorated vehicle with Priyanka and the state leaders of Congress and CPM moved across the city with an impressive crowd and covered half of the city road. She addressed the gathering before concluding the road show at Post Office Chowmuhani due to sudden deterioration of the weather.

As a matter of fact Congress has done so many Himalayan Blunders that divided people in the society by following a policy of Tushtikaran and morgaging interest of others on national level ---setting aside its national interest on International level by offering SC seat in UNO to China which is now a constant headache to India ----Further Congress spread its wing in Bihar where it sided with RJD and spoiled all the goodness of Bihar ---Bihar still suffers ----Entire South by its policy of Congress --sings song of Freedom at State level to the extent and even beyond national interest --insteading calming and toning down --fanning out it to grab VOTE only ------Even if we accept BJP as a Jumla party ---it has proudly served National interest without any discrimination to any one in the society ---Build New India of its Own dignity on national and International level that BJP is doing on surface People have to think very carefully against the running national national flow and International ups and down d,Read allPost comment
