Chief minister Biplab Kumar Deb told ToI on Thursday that following request of the state government, Union home minister Rajnath Singh agreed to relax the qualification for reserved category candidates from 10th to 8th standard. "We have got the communication on Thursday from Rajnathji regarding it. Earlier, the central government had approved two more battalions of TSR with existing 12 battalions. Altogether, 2014 personnel of different ranks will be appointed and the process is all set to begin soon," said Deb.
