Agartala: The NIA has issued a notice to a Sepahijala district resident in Tripura, requiring his presence at their Ahmedabad office by Nov 21.
A senior police officer on Tuesday said the NIA conducted searches across Tripura regarding activities by certain Bangladeshi nationals linked to al-Qaida’s terrorist plans.
“An NIA team raided Kauchar Ahmed’s residence in Tetaiya Mura of Sonamura but he wasn’t home at that time. So, the team proceeded to Jatrapur Police Station. Later, he arrived with his relatives, and was interrogated. He was issued a notice to appear on Nov 21 at 11 am in Ahmedabad,” said an intelligence official.
