Motha MLA writes to interim govt in B’desh over minorities’ security

Agartala: Expressing concern over the alleged atrocities on minorities in Bangladesh, TIPRA Motha legislator Ranjit Debbarma sought assurance from the present Bangladesh govt.TIPRA Motha founder and royal scion Pradyot Kishore Debbarman had expressed concerns over the situation in Bangladesh and requested the interim govt to stop violence and attacks on minorities.He condemned the actions of the protesters, who looted the houses of minorities and Awami League supporters and the official residence of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina after she left the country.Pradyot was upset over the vandalism and destruction of the century-old library, archive and historical monuments built by the Tripura royal family before partition in Comillat after his great-grandfather Bir Chandra Manikya.Tripura govt and political parties are afraid of a fresh influx from Bangladesh, similar to the earlier situation.
