Agartala: A man was arrested with arms and Yaba tablets worth Rs 35 lakh at Matinagar in West Tripura district on Thursday.
SP Kiran Kumar said Amtali police station had received a tip-off from the BSF regarding an individual in Matinagar who had stored arms and drugs.
“Acting on the tip-off, BSF and Tripura Police conducted a joint operation at the residence of Sundar Ali (36) on Wednesday night.

During the search, we seized over 50,000 Yaba tablets, a semi-improvised 7.6 calibre pistol, seven live rounds and Rs 23,000 in Bangladeshi currency,” Kumar said.
