Six booked for communal tension in Tripura dist

Agartala: Six people have been booked under various sections for inciting communal tension in Kailashahar, Unokoti district, Tripura, with two of them being apprehended by Bangladesh police across the border, police said on Wednesday.Last week, a place of worship was allegedly attacked and some carpets were set on fire, triggering communal tension in various parts of the district. To tackle the situation, the administration promulgated prohibitory orders under Section 163 of the BNSS.The police have filed a specific case against six people, as stated by a senior police officer. “We have arrested one person, identified as Akash Uddin, for triggering tension. Five others involved in the crime are on the run,” the officer added.
