: The CPM on Saturday lodged a complaint against Tripura CM Biplab Kumar Deb with the Election Commission for allegedly violating the model code of conduct by luring voters with government jobs.

"Deb is inciting violence and luring voters by offering government jobs before the elections. We have lodged a complaint with the Election Commissionon Saturday," said CPM's West

Meanwhile, Congress vice-president Tapas Dey, in a complaint to the EC on Saturday, said ever since the dates of the parliamentary elections were announced, a rein of terror has been let loose by the party in power to induce a fear psychosis among the electors. "Our party leaders and workers are under constant threat of facing dire consequences if they dare to participate in campaigning."

He further alleged that the the INC candidate from West Tripura parliamentary constituency, Subal Bhowmick, was attacked by BJP hooligans on Thursday in Sonamura sub-division in Sipahijala district.
