39 govt employees in Tripura get show-cause notice for late arrival
Agartala: The Sepahijala district administration on Monday issued a show-cause notice to 39 govt employees for arriving late to work. Among them are employees of DM’s office, sub-divisional magistrate’s office and some working in BDOs.
DM Sidharth Shiv Jaiswal said, “The govt has specific office hours, and it is expected that employees adhere to these timings. The objective of the show-cause notice is to ensure punctuality and discipline among the employees to enhance their performance in public discharge.”
He reiterated, “We appeal to all govt officials and employees to be punctual.”
He said a biometric attendance system is in place and it has been observed that some employees are habitual latecomers.
The aim is to ensure that public service is efficient and timely, so the public does not face any inconvenience, he added,
