Going by the music charts, the top summer smashers are all romantic flicks- some released and some about to be.

Leading the musical tally is the Shah Rukh Khan- Rani Mukherjee starrer Chalte Chalte followed by Main Prem Ki Diwani Hoon, Saathiya, Ishq Vishk and Armaan. Reaffirming the hit magic of romantic hits, an official of Planet M says, "All top five albums are romantic films. Time and again, its been proved that Indians like their music soft and melodious. Such is the hold of romantic songs that Dil Vil Pyaar Vyaar which was released last year is still at No 19 in our national charts while Rehna Hai Terre Dil Mein which released two years back is still at No 8. Even Jism which has romantic tracks has done so well."

About the current top five albums, the Aziz Mirza directed Chalte Chalte has music by Jatin- Lalit and Aadesh Shrivastava. Like the earlier Dreamz Unlimited ventures Yes Boss, Phir Bhi Dil Hai Hindustani and Asoka, Chalte Chalte has hit the formula of feel good soft romance, which never goes out of vogue. Songs like Tauba Tumhaare Yeh Ishaare and Suno Na Suno Na are already chartbusters. Says an official of Planet M,"Chalte Chalte is way ahead from any other new release. There was a definite buzz about the film and we had enquiries landing up days before the album even released."

Rajshri''s Main Prem Ki Diwani Hoon set to tunes by Anu Malik, is a treat for all KK- Shaan and Chitra fans who have lend vocals for Hrithik, Abhishek and Kareena respectively. The number Teri Zindagi Mein Chali Aayi Chali Aayi is a big hit.

And what else is left to say about AR Rahman''s musical Saathiya, its what you call a grosser! Anu Malik''s youthful music for the teen flick Ishq Vishk is already spewing many ‘me too''s while Shankar-Ehsan-Loy''s mature romantic numbers in Armaan are already on every Bollywood music lover''s ''must have'' list! Romance in the (musical) air-waves!
