Childrens' Day special: Here is what former TV child actors are up to now

Child actors have always entertained the audience with their gimmicks, stunts, comedy, action and much more on television since long. On the occasion of Children's Day today we bring to you a list of famous child actors of 90's and what they are up to now. From Sanju from Shaka Laka Boom Boom to the cute Anandi from Balika Vadhu, here is a look at all of them!

Avika Gor (Anandi in Balika Vadhu): One of the most popular child actors ever, Avika Gor grew leaps and bounds after her first stint on TV. She portrayed the role of a young bride who faces many hardships from her childhood itself. The actress later featured in Sasural Simar Ka which earned her immense popularity. She was also seen at Cannes Film Festival along with her co-actor in Sasural Simar Ka - Manish Raisinghan. Apart from her career on TV, the actress has also experimented with roles in Hindi and regional cinema.

Shweta Prasad (Shruti in Kahanii Ghar Ghar Kii): The sweet, innocent girl from Kahanii Ghar Ghar Kii - Shruti has grown up to be a theatre artist. She once became the talk of the town for her movie Makdee, which also starred Shabana Azmi. Shweta Basu Prasad also won the National Film Award for Best Child Artist for Makdee. She has a couple of hit films to her credit and will next be seen in Badrinath Ki Dulhania starring Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt.

Tanvi Hegde (Fruity in Son Pari): Remember Fruity from Star Plus' Son Pari, starring Mrunal Kulkarni? The sweet little actress has acted in many movies like Gaja Gamini, Champion, Rahul, Isha, Pitaah, Durga,Muniya (Rudra's daughter), Viruddh... Family Comes First, Vaah! Life Ho Toh Aisi!, Chal Chalein. Besides this, did you know that Tanvi has been a part of more than 150 commercials?

Kinshuk Vaidya (Sanju in Shaka Laka Boom Boom): The guy who once made everyone want his magical pencil which could bring anything to life that it drew, Sanju aka Kinshu Vaidya is a 26-year-old grown up now. After playing the protagonist on Shaka Laka Boom Boom, he went on to bagging a role in Kajol and Ajay Devgn starrer Raju Chacha. Currently he plays the protagonist on Ek Rishta Saajhedari Ka.

Rajat Tokas (Ashu in Bongo): The young warrior, who once made the pretty ladies drool over him, was not a newcomer in the industry when he starred in Dharti Ka Veer Yodha Prithviraj Chauhan as young Prithviraj Chauhan. He had earlier appeared on Bongo as Ashu. After a long career on TV, the actor bagged the role of Akbar in the hit mythological show Jodha Akbar. Recently, the actor got married to his long time girlfriend Sristi Nayyar.

Hansika Motwane (Kurana in Shaka Laka Boom Boom): The kids from Shaka Laka Boom Boom grew up to be big actors either on TV or Bollywood. After playing Kurana on the show, Hansika Motwane got another role of a child actor in Hrithik Roshan's Koi Mil Gaya. Soon after, a grown up Hansika was seen on the silver screen in Himesh Reshammiya starrer Aap Kaa Surroor. A popular actress down South, Hansika has many regional movies to her credit.

Jennifer Winget (Piya in Shaka Laka Boom Boom): Who can forget the chirpy Priya from Shaka Laka Boom Boom? The young girl has blossomed into a beautiful lady. Jennifer Winget will soon be seen romancing Kushal Tandon in Beyhad. She has not limited herself to television, but also tried her luck on the silver screen with the movie Phir Se. The latest buzz on the actress is that she will be cast opposite Fawad Khan in Zoya Akhtar's next.
