<br /><br />In the city on Wednesday, the ever-smiling man can’t stop talking about the talent pool that he"s seen in the city. "They are adorable, I think I can create a whole lot of professional dancers in this city," he said, adding, "I might take the best from here to Mumbai and train them there." <br /><br />Upset about the fact that some schools in Kolkata are using his name to market their creative dancing classes, Shaimak is all the more determined to impart training to the younger groups here. <br /><br />An artiste par excellence, he calls himself a singer first, an actor next and a dancer last. In fact, this man has been invited to play the lead role in a musical drama, Evita, in Canada where he will use his own voice to sing on stage. "For three months at a stretch I will have to perform. I’m nervous," he confesses.<br /><br />"It’s only when I perform abroad that people will take my singing talent seriously," he said. However, at home too, he"s been asked to cut a remix album by one of the leading record companies of the country. "I’ll do the old, slow numbers that I"m so fond of, I"ll give the people something that"ll stun them," he said. <br /><br />With music happening in a big way for this artiste, choreography is also not far behind. "I’ve been asked to do the choreography of Bajirao Mastani, and I’ve said "yes"," revealed Davar who was supposed to do the choreography for <span style="" font-style:="" italic="">Kal Ho Naa Ho</span>. <br />"But I need my space and the freedom to do what I want to do. with Yash Chopra and Subhas Ghai I’ve had my way and I hope the same will work with future projects too," he signed off. <br /><br />himika.chaudhuri@timesgroup.com</div> </div>
