When Raima Sen made her debut in Godmother as the shy love interest of Shabana's son, little did anyone imagine that a few years down the line, this pretty young thing would be on top gear.
When Raima Sen made her debut in Godmother as the shy love interest of Shabana's son, little did anyone imagine that a few years down the line, this pretty young thing would be on top gear.
After working in a host of period films, parallel cinema and a box-office grosser like Parineeta, Raima is all set to star in Ram Gopal Varma's Shock.
Ramu's flick will be directed by Jijy Philips of My Wife's Murder fame.
And the male lead? Mohit Ahlawat of James (fame?!).
"This is probably my first 'proper proper' commercial film. I have dance numbers, romancing and... There is a lot of emotional drama in the film," confirms Raima.

"Besides Mohit and I, the script also mentions another female character. The role will portray a journalist. It may be played by either Urmila or Manisha."
Asked how Raima manages to handle so many things at one go, she says, "I just choose the best. As soon as I go through a script, I get an idea of the film. It's easy to make a choice thereafter."
Raima's sure got her hands full. She starts shooting for Anjan Dutt's Bong Connection soon. She plays a cameo opposite Arjun Rampal in Meridian which also stars Konkona and Irrfan.
She's also working in Rituparno Ghosh's Khela and Aniruddha Roychowdhury's Anuranan. Not to forget Vidhu Vinod Chopra's Eklavya.
