Akash stars to fade out

for two years they have been familiar figures in your drawing room. the love triangle of akash, nandini and julia. and now it’s time to bid adieu to these tele stars. ek akasher niche is going to go off the air in june, much to the disappointment of viewers. mihir’s death in kyunki saas bhi kabhi bahu thi was an eye-opener as to what kind of influence television has on the public. and now kolkata’s ghar ghar ki kahani, ek akasher..., is all set for a “happy� denouement. shooting one of the concluding shots of the serial in aurora studio in narkeldanga, the director, ravi ojha, looked sad. “for two years we have worked together as one family. we are sad that it is coming to an end, but then without an end any serial tends to become boring and i would not want that to happen with ek akasher niche,� said ojha, who is planning another serial with some of the team mates of ek akasher.... the last scene will be shot later this week. saswata chatterjee, better known as akash, said, “this is a huge family and also the most comfortable one.� sunita sengupta, who plays julia, will die leaving akash and nandini together. “nandini left akash because of julia but she will eventually come back to him. this is in keeping with the theme song, phire ashte hobe tomay, phele asha shei purono shomay,� said debolina dutta who plays nandini. but more of that later, said the director, “when you get to see the end on the small screen�. meanwhile, the grapevine has it that sunita is all set to tie the knot with bollywood television star harsh chaya in mumbai soon. talk of happy endings!
