Razorpay brings a smile to kids
Secret Santa is a common Christmas ritual in most organisations to engage employees. Last year, fintech unicorn Razorpay launched the Gift a Smile Campaign, playing Santa to the children of Diya Ghar, an organisation that cares for the children of migrant workers through 22 centres.
Kids from Diya Ghar prepared a wish-list for Razorpay, following which they used their wish cards to decorate Christmas trees placed across the company’s office. These cards had sketches that were coloured by kids along with a personalised message to their Secret Santa.
"Little did we know that employees would pick one or more of these cards, purchase the gifts and get them shipped to the Bengaluru office where they were consolidated and then distributed to the Diya Ghar centres. Over 700 Razorpay employees opened their hearts and pooled in to make Christmas memorable for the kids," Shashank Kumar, MD & co-founder of Razorpay, says.
Sharayu Jadhav, VP - legal, says “watching the children open their gifts with much excitement was a priceless moment.”
