NEW DELHI: “Healthy” snacks startup TagZ Food aims to become the fastest direct-to-consumer (D2C) food brand to reach an annual recurring revenue (ARR) of Rs 1,000 crores.
Founded by Ashish Roy and Sagar Bhalotia in 2019, the startup makes products such as popped potato chips, which claim to have 50% less fat than regular ones with international gourmet dips, Dark Chocolate CigarZ and Hemp #CookieZ.
Since its entry, the start-up has sold over 87 lakh units with 38% of them being repeat customers, said the company. From a single manufacturing unit, the startup has scaled up to six facilities across India.
Roy said TagZ Food is set up to triple its distribution networks from 70 to 200 and add newer countries for exports such as Kuwait, Bahrain, Bhutan, Myanmar and Thailand. The brand currently has presence in over 2,000 stores and several e-commerce platforms.
