Earlier, Musk had called the diver Vernon Unsworth a "pedo" (short for paedophile), for which he later apologised. Musk said that he had "spoken in anger" after Unsworth accused him and SpaceX engineers of orchestrating a "PR stunt" by sending a small submarine to help divers rescue the 12 Thai soccer players and their coach from a flooded cave. The Tesla CEO added that Unsworth's criticism upset him but he should not have branded the diver a "pedo".

But, Musk on Wednesday was involved in the debate again on Twitter after a user asked him why he made the "pedo" comment. Musk soon responded to this "You don’t think it’s strange he hasn't sued me? He was offered free legal services."

In a series of tweets, he asked the user that if he had investigated the matter at all. He wrote: "Did you investigate at all? I'm guessing answer is no. Why?"

Musk who is very vocal about his views on social media has often paid the price for it. His earlier tweets on the British diver had sent investors away from the Tesla stock. Shares of Tesla had lost as much as 3 per cent after his earlier comments.

Now, we have to see how these recent comments will impact the Tesla stock.
