Zydus Wellness Limited
on Tuesday posted a 160% growth in its adjusted net profit for the financial year 2021-22, which stood at Rs 309 crore. The company’s adjusted net profit however, was up 23%. The company’s revenues from operations stood at Rs 2,009 crore during the fiscal year, up 7.6% as compared to the previous fiscal.
Factoring in the inflation and particularly the rising costs of key materials including milk and refined palm oil, the company took calibrated price increases and a few cost improvement measures over the last quarters to balance costs and profitability, consequently the gross margin as a percentage to net sales has sequentially improved by 265 basis points.
The company continued to expand its international footprint during the year by foraying into new geographies like Hongkong, Lebanon, Zimbabwe, Muscat, Ethiopia and Australia. The international business continued to post high double digit growth. The company’s brands also continued to expand their presence on e-commerce platforms during the year.
