Zee, Rajshri in deal for movie distribution

NEW DELHI: Zee Telefilms on Tuesday announced a strategic tie-up with Rajshri Pictures to distribute Hindi and regional films in India.
They will jointly distribute films produced, co-produced and acquired by them.
“The development will harness the potential of the industry and address the paradigm shift happening globally in the movie business,� said Zee Chairman Subhash Chandra.
Zee is likely to beam movies through satellite in theatres. “This will be available to film industry as a single-window service with access to most of the best theatres in India,� said Kamal Kumar Barjatya of Rajshri.
Both firms will offer marketing services to film producers for select projects.
