A slew of app-based trading platforms has seen the rise of a new Indian investor — young, not rich, and with more knowledge of technology than the stock market
I recently did a mini-survey with new campus hires and young managers at my workplace; they were in the 21 to 27 age group. I asked if they invest in the capital markets and how they manage their investments. I was surprised to know that all of them were trading in equities through a smartphone app. That’s when it dawned upon me that there are several trading /investment apps available on the Google Playstore and iOS App Store which provide a beautiful investment experience at almost zero cost.
