Wipro wins $1 billion deal from Olam Group

BENGALURU: Wipro secured one of its largest deals from Singapore-based Olam Group, with a total contract value expected to exceed $1 billion, including an $800 million committed spend. The win under CEO Srini Pallia signals a return to a highstakes mega deal playbook, with the company putting more skin in the game.
Under the eight-year agreement, Wipro will deliver transformation services to Olam through a consultingled, AI-powered approach, with an annual committed spend of $100 million.

Olam supplies food, ingredients, feed and fibre to nearly 22,000 customers globally, with operations spanning over 60 countries across farming, processing and distribution. This marks Wipro’s second-largest deal after its $1.5 billion contract with Alight Solutions in 2018.

Wipro will deploy solutions across Olam’s ‘farmto-fork’ value chain—covering farming, forecasting, trading, supply chain operations and customer engagement—aimed at improving efficiency, resilience and long-term growth.

In parallel, Olam is divesting its IT and digital services arm, Mindsprint, to Wipro for $375 million as part of its updated reorganisation plan. Sunny Verghese, co-founder and group CEO of Olam, said the move aligns with the company’s reorganisation plan to sharpen focus on core businesses and enhance shareholder value.
