India is the world’s fastest growing major economy and is expected to become the 4th largest in the coming years, and the 3rd largest subsequently. So what will the world economic order look like five years from now, at the turn of this decade? Which will be the top 10 largest economies in the world in 2029? United States of America (US)

Top 10 largest economies in the world: The United States of America or the USA will continue to dominate the world economy rankings in 2029 as well. The US, which is at present the world’s largest economy, will still be at the first rank in the list of the world’s top 10 largest economies in 2029, as per IMF’s projections. The nominal GDP of the US is expected to be around $35,458 billion, as per the latest IMF estimates. (AI image)

China

China will be the second largest economy in the world in 2029, according to the IMF. It currently also holds the second rank in the list of the top 10 largest economies in the world list. According to the latest IMF estimates, China’s nominal GDP in 2029 will be $24,590 billion. At present (2024), it is projected at $18,273 billion. (AI image)

Top 10 largest economies in the world: In 2029-30 (FY30), India would have moved up the ranks to become the world’s third largest economy, according to the IMF estimates. In fact India would have achieved the third rank in the list of the top 10 largest economies in the world by 2028 itself, as per the latest IMF data. In 2029, India’s nominal GDP is expected to be around $6,307 billion. India’s GDP for 2024 (FY25) is projected at $3,889 billion, and the Indian economy is at present the world’s fifth largest. Germany, which presently ranks third in the top 10 largest economies in the world list, would have moved down to the fourth spot by 2029, according to the IMF. Brazil, the 9th largest economy in the world in 2024, would rise up the ranks to claim the 8th spot in the coming years. As per IMF estimates, Brazil will rank 8th in the list of the top 10 largest economies in 2029, having overtaken Italy. Brazil’s nominal GDP for 2029 is expected to be around $2,855 billion.
