Tata Sons board meets, Noel attends
MUMBAI: The directors of Tata Sons met Friday, over two months after ex-bureaucrat Vijay Singh resigned from the board. The meeting, chaired by N Chandrasekaran, discussed and considered routine corporate matters related to the company and its affiliated entities, said people aware of the matter.
Apart from Chandrasekaran, the board consists of five members, including Noel Tata, the chairman of Tata Trusts, the parent of Tata Sons. Noel, who had recently returned from an overseas trip, also participated in the meeting, the people said.
Noel has consolidated control within the Trusts and consequently, the broader Tata Group, following a restructuring of the boards of the foundations. He has centralised final authority under the chair of Trusts by dissolving the executive committee, which previously included himself, Venu Srinivasan, Vijay Singh, and Mehli Mistry (until his term ended on Oct 28).
The moves are significant as the Trusts can appoint one-third of the directors on Tata Sons' board. They maintain their quota on Tata Sons board even after the exit of Singh from the company. Apart from Noel, the other Trusts' nominee on Tata Sons' board is Srinivasan.

I am waiting for first installment (usd 2 millions) compensation from TCS/ Tata group (out of the usd 22 millions). compensation that is due from TCS due to the breach of employment contract by Kaiser Permanente forced on by TCS employees in los Angeles CA USA in 2007-2008 (I was hired from Bangalore india in 2000 by making me resign from my.job at Wipro Ltd (where i was working as sr systems engineer) since 1996 and due for promotion,ESOPs in 2000) and relocated.me.to USA in 2000 by Kaiser Permanente IT which also promised greencard processing and permanent job in USA and my.greencard.was.in.processknh and cleared 2nd stage in 2008 and i had purchased house, car in USA and anticipating arrival of greencard in 2008)..i have sent full details.of.compensatuon needed to TCS chairman Chandrasekaran and other members in TCS and waiting for compensation. TCS / tata group has to pay.for it's sins, applogize, compensate and only then their revival as a group company will start. Being in India for 200 yrs and reaping growth across multiple sectors, tata group should.not.be taking this much to compensate me,apologize and pay for their mistakes. Otherwise universe will neither forgive them.nor.allow.them.for.regrowth. unless TCS pays the compensation to.me.immeidately,.apoligize,rehire and relocate me.back to.usa.or provide an equivalent role in USA or UK,TCS / tata group will.continue to suffer losses which will.be much more than the compensation that can provide..if the provide me.ompensaruon i may forgive them.otheewise they will.be subject to severe discipline by US government, regulators, clients, markets etc. it is right time for tata chairman me Noel Tata to step up to his role, provide compensation to me and settle the matter as he is new chairman and universe gives him 6 months-1 yr in his role as chairman of tata group to settle the matters within tata group, address their mistakes, provide compensation and set.tone for new growth. I can provide advise to him.on the matters with TCS, tata group etc if needed, advisory consultancy fee can be discussedRead allPost comment
