Tata Motors has launched an updated 2019 edition of its
SUV Hexa
at a starting price of Rs 12.99 lakh going up to Rs 18.36 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
While the updated model receives no cosmetic or mechanical changes, it now gets additional features such as a seven-inch touchscreen infotainment system with android auto connectivity across variants. Based on the Impact Design philosophy, the Hexa now offers dual tone roof options on the entire range. It gets diamond cut alloy wheels in the automatic variants while the manual trims get charcoal grey alloy wheels. The Hexa 2019 edition will come in five color options with the dual tone roof in the top end variants offered in two colors: Infinity Black and Titanium Grey.
The SUV continues to draw power from a 2.2-litre VARICOR diesel engine offered in two states of tune. First up is the Varicor 320 that churns 148PS of power and a peak torque of 320Nm while the second is the Varicor 400 producing 154PS of power and a maximum torque of 400Nm. The engine is available with a total of three gearbox combinations. While the base XE gets only a 5-speed manual, higher variants offer a 6-speed manual gearbox and a 6-speed automatic transmission.
"Our versatile SUV Hexa has caught the imagination of the country with its distinctive on-road and off-road capabilities and has witnessed a strong traction in the market," said S N Barman, Tata Motors Vice President, Sales, Marketing & Customer Support, Passenger Vehicles Business Unit.
The company is confident that this new edition will help it take forward its brand promise of offering customers aspirational products with the next level of design and technology, he added.
Tata Motors had launched Hexa in January, 2017.
