MUMBAI: Tata Motors on Wednesday launched the premium hatchback Altroz in five trim at an introductory price starting from Rs 5.29 lakh for the petrol trim and Rs 6.99 lakh (ex-showroom) for the diesel trim.
It is Tata's first vehicle developed on the new ALFA architecture and the second vehicle showing the Impact 2.0 design language. Altroz has been awarded Global NCAP 5-star rating. Altroz will come in six different factory-fitted customizable options to be chosen from four packs – Rhythm, Style, Luxe and Urban.

Altroz is available in five variants - XE, XM, XT, XZ and XZ(O). Altroz comes with Eco and Drive mode as standard. with a feature-packed top-end like dual-tone alloys, projector headlamps with LED DRLs and fog lamps and rain sensing wipers. The hatchback has five colours – High Street Gold, Downtown Red, Midtown Grey, Avenue White and
Skyline Silver.

The Altroz comes in BSVI complaint petrol and diesel powertrains. The Tata Altoz is powered by a Revotron 1.2-litre, naturally aspirated petrol engine produces 85 bhp and 113 Nm. The diesel version gets a 1.5-litre four-cylinder, Revotorq engine that produces 89 bhp and 200 Nm. Petrol and diesel heads are mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox as standard, with no automatic transmission.
Tata Altroz
will compete against the likes of Maruti Suzuki Baleno, Hyundai i20 and Honda Jazz.
