Chennai: Shriram Capital, the holding company for the financial services and insurance entities of the Shriram Group, announced the appointment of retired IAS officer K P Krishnan as the chairman on its board.
With nearly four decades of service with the government, Krishnan is an IIM Bangalore alumni. He has held several key positions, including secretary in ministry of skill development and entrepreneurship, secretary in PM’s Economic Advisory Council and others.
In addition, he served in key positions in the Karnataka government and the office of the Executive Director World Bank Group Washington DC.
During his stint in the DEA, Krishnan was closely involved with and initiated many reforms in the financial sector.
