'Satyameva Jayate': Truth has prevailed says Gautam Adani after SC verdict

NEW DELHI: In response to the Supreme Court's ruling regarding allegations from a US short-seller against his conglomerate, billionaire Gautam Adani asserted on Wednesday that the truth has triumphed. He underscored his group's dedication to playing a significant role in India's growth narrative.

His comments followed shortly after the apex court supported the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI)'s clearance of the Adani Group from allegations made by the US-based short seller Hindenburg Research.

"The Hon'ble Supreme Court's judgement shows that: Truth has prevailed. Satyameva Jayate," Adani said in a post on X, formerly known as Twitter. "I am grateful to those who stood by us. Our humble contribution to India's growth story will continue. Jai Hind," Adani added.



The Supreme Court on Wednesday decided not to order a special investigation team (SIT) or the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) probe into the Gautam Adani-Hindenburg Research controversy.

The SC bench, led by Chief Justice D Y Chandrachud, has instead directed the Securities and Exchange Board of India (Sebi) to complete its investigation into the remaining two cases of alleged violations by Adani group companies within three months.
