HYDERABAD: Sachin Tendulkar-backed Hyderabad company Azad Engineering has padded up for a seven-year innings as producer and supplier of critical engine parts to British aerospace and defence behemoth Rolls-Royce Plc for its military aircraft engines. Azad Engineering informed the bourses Monday that it has inked an agreement with Rolls-Royce Plc. The components will be manufactured at Azad's facilities in Hyderabad.
The company, which was listed last Dec and has Tendulkar on board as an investor, will join global supply chain for highly complex and critical rotating components for military engines.
Azad Engineering is known for manufacturing high-precision forged and machined zero-defect, life-critical rotating components required in aviation, including civil and defence aircraft and engines.
