Rungta Steel strengthens presence in the infrastructure sector with Ductile Iron Pipe
Rungta Steel, one of India’s leading integrated steel and TMT bar manufacturers, is proud to announce its foray into the production of Ductile Iron (DI) Pipes. This significant step, undertaken at the company’s Chaliyama Steel Plant in Chaibasa, Jharkhand, marks another milestone in its journey to becoming the most preferred brand in the country.
The introduction of Ductile Iron Pipes complements the company’s flagship product, TMT Bars, along with Wire Rods, Fly Ash Bricks, and other offerings.
The DI Pipes produced at the Chaliyama Steel Plant boast unmatched quality and durability, incorporating features that set them apart in the market. An internal cement mortar lining ensures a smooth flow of water while preventing pitting, erosion, and corrosion, thereby reducing the risk of blockages and discoloured water.
The external zinc coating offers self-healing properties that protect the pipes from damage during transportation and handling, while additional coatings like bitumen and epoxy enhance their longevity. Leak-proof joints, secured by rubber gaskets, and the provision for polyethylene sleeves as an added protective layer underscore the company’s commitment to customer-centric solutions.
The product's exceptional strength, impact resistance, and corrosion resistance set make it one of the most preferred options for industrial projects, reinforcing Rungta Steel's reputation for providing solutions for various infrastructure ventures.
With this strategic move, the company is expanding its product portfolio and further solidifying its presence which will play a key role in shaping India's water infrastructure.
Known for its best-in-class quality and advanced manufacturing techniques, Rungta Steel continues to exceed industry standards by offering innovative solutions tailored to modern infrastructure needs.
Rungta Steel’s venture into this segment is a reflection of its resolute dedication to quality and its vision of redefining excellence in steel manufacturing. With stringent quality control measures and advanced production techniques, the company continues to set benchmarks in the industry. Guided by its core values of Strength, Order, Learning, Integrity, and Dependability—encapsulated in the philosophy of ‘EKDUM SOLID’—Rungta Steel remains steadfast in its mission to exceed customer expectations and lead the way in India’s infrastructure development.
