RBI to purchase gilts worth Rs 20k crore next week
MUMBAI : The RBI on Thursday announced that it will buy govt securities worth Rs 20,000 crore on April 22 through open market operations.
This will ensure adequate liquidity in the system and ensure interest rates don’t shoot up. Earlier in the day, the central bank purchased gilts worth Rs 40,000 crore through the same channel, it said.
