RBI flags governor's deepfake videos
MUMBAI: RBI has issued a warning to the public about deepfake videos circulating on social media. These videos falsely portray RBI governor endorsing a Ponzi scheme.
RBI clarified that it does not endorse or provide advice on any such investments and that these videos are fraudulent. The public is cautioned against falling prey to these deepfakes and engaging with such content online, it said.
