Pravin Kutumbe joins IRDAI

CHENNAI: The Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India on Tuesday appointed Pravin Kutumbe as member (finance and investment), effective from March 12, 2018.
Kutumbe joins the Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (IRDAI) from LIC, where he was executive director (finance and accounts). He joined LIC in 1985. He headed LIC's Fuji overseas operations and has held the roles of chief investment officer (CIO) and chief financial officer (CFO).
"Kutumbe is a chartered accountant with more than 33 years experience in the life insurance industry. Apart from teaching as a visiting faculty in management institutions, his hobbies include reading books and listening to classical music," said IRDAI in its press release.
