Oberoi Hotels report a profit in pre-Omicron Q3
NEW DELHI: Oberoi Hotel’s holding company, East India Hotels (EIH), has reported a profit of Rs 32.2 crore crore in the October-December 2021 period against a loss of Rs 40.8 crore in same period of previous fiscal.
The hospitality industry was staging a smart recovery on pent up demand post the deadly delta wave but soon thereafter Omicron struck and its impact will be know when Q4 results are announced.
On a standalone basis, EIH revenue this Q3 was Rs 324.3 crore — up 94% from Rs 167.5 crore in same period last fiscal. EIH consolidated revenue was Rs 378.9 crore — up 95% from Rs 194.8 crore in same period last fiscal.
