NZ-based travel tech co opens GCC in India
BENGALURU: New Zealand-based travel tech company Serko has set up a GCC in India. Located in Bengaluru, the centre will be responsible for developing products that use generative AI extensively.
"Our mission is to develop products in a way that maintenance gets automated. We do not want to spend a lot of time maintaining it. All the research on how generative AI can better our products will be done in the India centre," CEO Darrin Grafton told TOI on a visit to India together with a delegation led by NZ's prime minister Christopher Luxon.
The company isn't keen on outsourcing any of the work it does. Over the next year, the company will invest $100 million towards the planned tech advancement. Serko's solutions allow companies to book and manage corporate travel.
