Nooyi named among 25 highest-paid women in world: Fortune

NEW YORK: With a pay package of USD 14.9 million, Indian-origin chief of Pepsico Indra Nooyi has made it to the list of world's 25 highest-paid women, while software major Oracle President Safra Catz has topped the ranking.
Catz has been named as the highest paid woman executive with a pay package of USD 42.4 million in the list published by Fortune and compiled by executive compensation research firm Equilar Inc for the US magazine.
Nooyi, who has been named as the world's most powerful women in the US business recently, is ranked at the 10th place in the list of 25 highest-paid women with a total compensation of USD 14.9 million (around Rs 72.44 crore) in 2008.
Wynn International Marketing President Linda Chen was ranked at the second place with a total compensation of USD 23.9 million in 2008 and Victoria's Secret Ltd Brands President and CEO Sharen Turney at the third place with a pay package of USD 20.3 million.
Others in the list include - Annaly Capital Management Vice-Chairman Wellington Denahan-Norris (4th), Avon Products' Chairperson and CEO Andrea Jung (5th place)and Hewlett-Packard EVP, Technology Solutions Group Ann Livermore (6th position).
Foods major Kraft Foods CEO Irene Rosenfeld has been named at the 7th place, followed by Regions Financial former Consumer Services Group Head Candice Bagby (8th), and soybean company Archer Daniels Midland's Chief Patricia Woertz (9th).
