NLCIL to set up 110MW solar power plant in UP

CUDDALORE: NLC India Limited (NLCIL), a Navratna public sector enterprise under the Union coal ministry, has received the Letter of Acceptance (LoA) from National Capital Region Transport Corporation Limited (NCRTC) for the development of its 110MW grid-connected solar photovoltaic power project in Uttar Pradesh.

NCRTC is a joint venture company of the Union govt and the states of Delhi, Haryana, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh set up for ensuring balanced and sustainable urban development. NCRTC is developing the solar plant in Uttar Pradesh through a joint venture company.

NCRTC will set up, commission, operate and maintain the solar power plant. The project is expected to be completed within 24 months from the signing of the power purchase agreement. The project will cater to NCRTC’s power requirement and support its vision of adopting clean and sustainable energy solutions for large-scale infrastructure projects.
