Following these tech leaders were Google Cloud CEO Thomas Kurian, who received 28% of the votes, YouTube CEO Neal Mohan with 27%, and Tesla’s chief financial officer Vaibhav Taneja, who secured 22% of respondents’ votes.

The survey was conducted based on Hurun’s internal dataset, with insights from over 400 wealth-creators, including participants from the Hurun Rich List, Hurun Future Unicorn Index, and Hurun India 500. The list featured 27-year-old Tanay Tandon, co-founder and CEO of Commure, as its youngest member. Alongside him was Aravind Srinivas, the 30-year-old co-founder and CEO of Perplexity.

The list included individuals across age groups, from Tandon to Gopichand Hinduja, aged 84. The survey comprised 57% first-generation business founders, 41% professionals, and 2% inheritors, with 12 women holding leadership positions. “Women leaders from HSBC Hurun Global Indians List 2024 were equally inspiring too. Neha Narkhede (Confluent), Anjali Sud (Tubi), Yamini Rangan (HubSpot), Leena Nair (Chanel), and Revathi Advaithi (Flex) collectively oversee companies with a cumulative value of $436 billion, greater than the GDP of Malaysia,” Anas Rahman Junaid, founder and chief researcher, Hurun India, said.
