Muscle & Strength looking to raise Rs 50 crore for expansion

, a fitness supplement retailer, plans to raise about Rs 50 crore next year to expand its business in India and overseas, as demand for nutritional supplements rose during the pandemic.

The funds will be utilised for various business activities, including enhancing offline store network, adding new product lines, product development and R&D marketing activities.

The overseas markets include Nepal, Bhutan, and Myanmar.

“We are planning to raise funds for the next phase of our growth. In a short span of time, Muscle and Strength India has already achieved turnover of around Rs 10 crore in the last 3 years despite the pandemic,” said founder

The company, which has 18 stores, plans to expand it t0 100 through franchise route.

“Apart from metros, we believe the real demand is in the tier 2-3 cities where availability of latest, genuine and economically priced supplements is still a challenge,” he added.
