MEIL lays foundation stone for Young India Skills University buildings
HYDERABAD: Less than a fortnight after it inked a MoU with the Telangana govt, Megha Engineering & Infrastructures Limited (MEIL) on Friday said it had laid the foundation stone laying for the Young India Skills University buildings at Net Zero Valley, Meerkhanpet in Kandukur Mandal of Ranga Reddy district.
The Hyderabad-based infrastructure company has committed a contribution of Rs 200 crore as part of its corporate social responsibility (CSR) for constructing world class buildings for the university, which include an academic block, administration block, library, auditorium, modern classrooms, laboratories, and all essential infrastructure needed to create a top-tier learning environment.
The company said the varsity’s buildings would be built to international standards with a zero-carbon footprint approach.
MEIL director Ravi P Reddy, who led the foundation stone laying ceremony, said the first phase of the construction would be completed by Telangana formation day 2025.
MEIL vice president G Shiva Kumar, who also participated in the ceremony, said the upcoming YISU buildings will adhere to zero carbon footprint standards and will feature an open-air system with excellent ventilation, eliminating the need for air conditioning and ensuring a sustainable, eco-friendly environment.
