Mathew of Malayala Manorama is new INS president

Mumbai: Jayant Mammen Mathew, executive editor of the Malayala Manorama, has been elected president of the Indian Newspaper Society (INS) for the year 2018-2019. He succeeds Akila Urankar of the Business Standard. The deputy president is Shailesh Gupta of Mid-Day, vice-president L Adimoolam of Dinamalar and treasurer Sharad Saxena of Hindustan Times.Harsha Mathew (M M Publications), M V Shreyamskumar (Mathrubhumi), P V Chandran (Grihalakshmi) and Biju Varghese of Mangalam Weekly are also in the new 41-member executive committee.
