MUMBAI: French beauty company L'Oreal, which has been operating in India since 1994, has appointed its first Indian MD to helm the company in India.
Amit Jain, who last held the post of MD, North-West Europe for Akzo Nobel, based in Amsterdam, will take over charge to lead L'Oreal India from August 1 this year.
Jain succeeds Jean-Christophe Letellier, who after 5 years in the role, will take on an important position within the L’Oréal group, the company said in an announcement.
Jain's career spans over 30 years with renowned companies across countries such as ICI, Coca Cola and
Viacom
, apart from Akzo Nobel.
