Key corner room appointments in TVS group companies
Chennai: TVS Group companies Sundaram Clayton and TVS Supply Chain Solutions announced top level appointments on Thursday. Auto component major Sundaram-Clayton Limited (SCL) appointed R Gopalan, non-executive independent director of the company, as chairman of the board effective April 1, 2022. Gopalan has rich experience in the economic and financial administration of the country with long stints in the ministry of commerce and finance, and in manufacturing and service sectors.
From April 01, 2022, current chairman Venu Srinivasan will continue to be the MD designated as chairman Emeritus. Venu Srinivasan, chairman, Sundaram-Clayton Ltd said, “R Gopalan has held critical roles in key government bodies and boards. His long history of leadership coupled with vast experience will be helpful to chart a sustainable growth roadmap for SCL”.
TVS Supply Chain Solutions (TVS SCS) announced the appointment of Ravi Viswanathan as the MD. He joined the company as joint MD in February 2020.
The company, in its recently concluded board meeting, approved the appointment and announced the changes with effect from February 7, 2022. R Dinesh, the fourth generation TVS scion, would continue to guide the company in his new role as the executive VC.
“The organization has a grand vision and these executive appointments will help in realizing its potential and help cement its leadership as a technology-led global supply chain player,” S Mahalingam, chairman, TVS Supply Chain Solutions said.
