Kalanithi Maran’s daughter joins Sun TV board; Mahesh Kumar takes over as MD

Network with Kaviya Kalanithi Maran, daughter of the company’s chairman Kalanithi Maran, joining the

board

as additional director. She will remain on the board for five years starting April 1.

The board of directors of the company also approved the appointment of R Mahesh Kumar as additional director and

MD

with effect from April 1 for five years. The current MD, K Vijayakumar, has resigned with effect from March 31. However, Vijayakumar would continue as its executive director, a Sun TV filing to the stock exchanges said.

The company will obtain shareholders’ nod through postal ballot for these and also for salary payments to chairman Kalanithi Maran and executive director Kavery Kalanithi.
