‘Jhooth pe jhooth’: Goyal’s jibe at Rahul over X posts
New Delhi : Commerce and industry minister Piyush Goyal Sunday turned to Bollywood humour to take a swipe at Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, countering his series of X posts criticising the govt over the trade agreement with the US with “jhooth pe jhooth (lie after lie)” jibe, repurposing Sunny Deol’s angry “tarikh ke tarikh” in a Hindi movie.
The Union minister’s retort came as the leader of the opposition in Lok Sabha again attacked the govt for allegedly betraying farmers and raised more questions.
The minister’s post showed a picture of Rahul with “tweet pe tweet” caption, and Deol, incidentally a former BJP MP, in his film avatar shouting “jhooth pe jhooth”. Goyal also shared a collection of his remarks, emphasising that the agreement fully protects the interests of farmers and makes no concession to the US in the dairy sector.
