Jet to boost Sahara brand
NEW DELHI: Cruising forward on plans to acquire Air Sahara, Jet Airways on Thursday inked an agreement to assist its smaller rival in improving performance and customer services as well as promoting Air Sahara in India and overseas markets.
Towards this end, Jet has put together a core team of 14 professionals who would provide consultancy services to the Air Sahara management.

With this Consultancy Agreement in place, Jet has been engaged as a consultant to Sahara Airlines Ltd, it said. The agreement comes in the wake of the recent decision by two airlines to extend by 90 days the validity of the share purchase agreement.
Under the agreement, senior Jet Airways executives from all operating departments, along with their current positions in Jet, have been assigned the responsibility of providing consultancy services to Sahara.
While Jet's V-P (marketing) Gaurang Shetty will assist Air Sahara in marketing, another V-P N Hariharan will help in HR and personnel management.
The team includes K Mohan (for flight operations), Mike Johnson (maintenance & engineering), Arindam Banerjee (cargo and airport), K Balakrishnan (finance), Subir Ahluwalia (marketing & services), Ragini Chopra (catering), and others.
