ITC Hotels’ Welcomhotel brand crosses 50-mark with 2 new property signings

NEW DELHI: Hospitality major ITC Hotels Ltd (ITCHL) has signed a new hotel each in Shirdi and Bhubaneshwar, with which its Welcomhotel brand in India has crossed the milestone 50 mark. The soon to open destinations for Welcomhotel brand include Gangtok in Sikkim and Bhopal & Gwalior in Madhya Pradesh.ITCHL recently entered into definitive agreements with Sandy Resort Pvt Ltd to operate their upcoming 73-room hotel in Shirdi, Maharashtra. The new alliance between the two companies also extends to a second 84-room hotel in in Bhubaneshwar, Odisha under the Welcomhotel brand. With these two new signings, the Welcomhotel brand portfolio now consists of 51 hotels with over 5,500 keys (30 operating hotels and 21 in pipeline).In the last 12-months, new hotel signings for Welcomhotel brand include properties across 16 locations: Ayodhya, Sarnath & Vrindavan in Uttar Pradesh, Bhubaneshwar in Odisha, Bodh Gaya in Bihar, Jaipur & Salasar in Rajasthan, Karai & Rajkot in Gujarat, Mysuru in Karnataka, Nellore in Andhra Pradesh, Panjagutta and Shankarpally in Telangana, Selaqui in Dehradun, Uttarakhand; Shirdi in Maharashtra and Mohali in Punjab.
