Himanshu V joined US firm Meta, formerly Facebook, just a few days ago. The IIT-Kharagpur graduate even relocated to Canada from India for the job but was fired within two days of joining the company. “…my journey came to an end as I am impacted by the massive layoff. My heart goes out to everyone facing a difficult situation right now,” he said in a LinkedIn post that has since been shared widely.

He concluded his post with, “What next for me? Honestly, I have no idea!” and then asked LinkedIn users to inform him of an open position for a software engineer.
