Pricing

Venue is aiming to infuse an overwhelmed yet one of the most sought after segment, the compact SUV market. Therefore, it has to keep up with the competition and the purchasing power of this segment. It is expected to have a starting ex-showroom price of Rs 7.5 lakh and go up to Rs 12 lakh for the top model. At this price, it will be a little more expensive than the Tata Nexon and Vitara Brezza.

The Venue looks a sized down Hyundai Creta with the carmaker’s new cascading grille and dual-headlamp setup, previously seen on the Hyundai Kona. It also get’s 16-inch alloy wheels (diamond cut in higher variants), front and rear skid plates, underbody cladding and roof rails. It also gets an electric sunroof. The cabin is finished in an all-black color scheme with good quality plastics and a large touchscreen infotainment system.


Engine

The Venue is offered with two petrol and one diesel engine options: A 1.0-litre Kappa T-GFU petrol engine delivering 120 PS of power and a peak torque of 172 Nm, a 1.2-litre petrol engine churning 83 PS and 114.7 Nm of torque while the third 1.4-litre diesel engine produces 90 PS of power and a peak torque of 220 Nm.


First-in-segment features

The compact-SUV is equipped with 33 connected features ranging from safety (auto crash notification, road side assistance etc) to vehicle relationship management (maintenance alert, driving information etc). It also gets 7-speed DCT (Dual Clutch Transmission), projector fog lamps, wireless charger, HD display screen, eco-coating, three years/unlimited kilometers warranty and a three year road side assistance.
