HDFC Bank to offer psu employees salary accounts with cyber fraud protection
Mumbai: Mumbai, Feb 12: HDFC Bank has launched a new salary account for public sector employees, integrating cyber fraud protection. The account, called Anmol Salary Account, is the first of its kind in India for PSU employees.
The bank has been expanding its savings account offerings to cater to different customer segments said Parag Rao, country head of payments, liability products, consumer finance & marketing. Under its Speciale suite, senior citizens receive cyber fraud protection of up to Rs. 1.5 lakh, while professionals get coverage ranging from Rs. 25,000 to Rs. 50,000. Another variant, Speciale Gold Women, includes a cancer cover of up to Rs. 5 lakh.
The new salary account includes a cyber fraud cover of up to Rs. 25,000. Account holders can also extend a zero-balance salary family account to five family members. Additional benefits include free locker access for the first year, a comprehensive health insurance plan with OPD coverage and top-up plans up to Rs. 30 lakh, and accident insurance worth over Rs. 15 lakh.
Customers will receive a free platinum debit card with exclusive offers, including up to eight complimentary domestic airport lounge visits annually. Maharatna PSU employees will have access to supplementary home loans beyond company-set limits, along with preferential loan rates and an increased salary overdraft limit.
“We are introducing India’s first cyber cover-integrated salary account for PSU employees, a timely move as banking increasingly shifts online,” Rao said. He added that the account offers a broad range of benefits to PSU employees and their families, including loan advantages and health cover.
The bank is positioning the product as a savings account that combines traditional banking benefits with modern features. Other perks include unlimited ATM transactions and free demand drafts. The new account reflects the bank’s ongoing focus on enhancing banking services for PSU employees.
